Yes, that’s right, one of my recent obsessions is creating watercolor bookmarks.

In a world where so many people read on their Kindles or iPads, why do we even need bookmarks? Well, just like holding a book in your hand is still a tactile and special experience, so is holding and having a bookmark — but not just any old bookmark.

Imagine a bookmark that is an original piece of artwork. Something not just functional, but beautiful.

I will admit, I do the majority of my reading on my iPad. However, I do still read actual books — cookbooks, how-to books, coffee table books, books that I must have in print (not just on my iPad). It is for these books, the ones that you actually hold in your hand and devour, that I create my watercolor bookmarks.
